Everything on Blackout Fox is general information for preparedness. It is not medical, legal, financial or professional advice, and it doesn’t replace hands-on training.
Medical information
My field medicine guides explain what first aid gear does and how it’s generally used. They are not training and not a diagnosis.
- Take a hands-on class, such as Stop the Bleed or a Red Cross first aid course.
- Get real medical care for serious wounds, burns, infections, bites and illness.
- Call 911 in an emergency. If a dispatcher or a medical professional tells you what to do, follow them over anything you read here.
Fuel, fire and chemicals
Propane, gasoline, kerosene, bleach and pesticides can kill or injure when misused. Always follow the product label and your local fire code. Never run grills, camp stoves, generators or engines indoors or in a garage.
Prices and products
Prices and product details change, so the costs in my guides are rough ranges. No store or brand pays me, and I use no affiliate links.
Not affiliated
Blackout Fox is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, any government agency, or any store or brand named here, including Tractor Supply and Walmart. Military history and terms are used for education.
Your responsibility
You decide how to use this information, and you are responsible for your own safety and for the people in your care. I work to keep every guide accurate, but I can’t promise that any page is complete, current or right for your situation.
